ACORN On the move
On Saturday, May 9 2009 my home was visited by a woman who initially claimed to be with the US Census. I knew right away that was a lie and immediately said “No your not, you’re an ACORN worker. She smirked and said yes.
I said to her that I knew why she was here and that was to “GPS paint” my front door for purposes of a data base to see who gets hauled off to concentration camps, again, she grinned and with a chuckle, said yes. At this point I pointed towards the road. She smirked again and tried to make a smart ass comment and I interrupted and said, you think I'm being funny. I then wadded up her paper she tried to hand me and threw it back into her Grey Jeep Cherokee and said "you get out of here right now before I loose my temper".
She tore off down the driveway real fast. Then I called the KY State Patrol and told them what had occurred. The first thing the dispatcher told me was that they (ACORN) has not been authorized to solicit in this area and are breaking the law when they proclaim that they are from the U.S. Census. They sent an officer out who filed a report and went off to try and track this ACORN worker down. We’ll see what happens now.

ReplyDeleteI found the article to be rather interesting from the standpoint of the audacity of the worker who had the gall to say she was from the US Census. Not much integrity was shown by that move. If anyone else has a similar experience, it would be good to hear about it.
