March 14 (RIA Novosti) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has proposed to Russia using a Venezuelan island for hosting of Russian long-range aviation, a top ranking Russian Air Force official said Saturday.

Russian bombers to land in Cuba and Venezuela. Back in the 1960’s, we nearly went to World War Three over this. There was a point in time that NORAD was at DEFCON 2, and less than thirty seconds away from DEFCON 1. It is a clear violation of the “Monroe Doctrine”, stating no European interference in the Western Hemisphere. It is truly scary that the world thinks that now a Democrat is in office, that we have become soft. They smell blood in the air, the blood of a dying Republic. Talk to anyone who was above the age of 10 during the 1960’s. They will tell you about the bomb drills, and building fall-out shelters in the back yard. Luckily their was a Democrat in office who refused to give in, and stair the Russians down. Even then, however, Kennedy secretly negotiated with the Russians and gave up strategic missile locations to end the crisis. What is it about Democrats and weakness, negotiating, and giving in. They talk the talk, but are afraid to walk the walk! Reagan and Bush would have never let it get this far.
It is time to grow our backbone back, and cut off the noses of the wolves in this world, making them think twice about the smell of blood coming from our faltering Republic.
