A fundamental question that needs to be asked. Why are there so few jobs in America. We are the home of Carnegie Steel, and hundreds of other industrialists. We had massive manufacturing industry's across the country. What happened?
Well lets go through the average day of John Smith. John lost his job and now begins his search for a new job. This is how his search goes:
................................................................................................................................................................
-John Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN) set for 6 am.
-While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA) was perking with coffee beans (PROCESSED AND PICKED IN COLUMBIA), he walked to the bathroom.
-He then shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG).
-After he took his shower, he put on a dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA).
-Put on his designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE).
-Then he put on his tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA).
-After cooking his breakfast in his electric skillet, (MADE IN INDIA)
-He sat down with his calculator (MADE IN MEXICO), to see how much he could spend today.
-He got in his car (MADE IN GERMANY), and
-Filled it with GAS (FROM SAUDI ARABIA).
-He set his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN),
-To the car radio (MADE IN INDIA),
-And continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.....
-At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day, he checked for jobs online using his Computer (MADE IN MALAYSIA).
-John decided to relax for a while. So he put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL),
-He poured himself a glass of red Burgundy wine (MADE IN FRANCE),
-And turned on his TV (MADE IN INDONESIA), and still wondered why he can't find a good paying job in AMERICA.
-He watched the news on ABC which is now broadcasting from the White House to here the Press Secretary speak on how the Stimulus was going to create jobs in America.
JOHN WATCHED AND NOW HE'S HOPING HE CAN GET HELP FROM A PRESIDENT
(MADE IN KENYA)
Y'all gotta Keep this one circulating, please!

Well the reason it got to this point in the first place is because of inflation. Prices would be way too high if all things were made domestically. It's all about a competitive market. We can thank chinese walmart for spurring this on in Canada and Mexico now as well. So really, as much as I couldn't agree more with what your saying.. why leave out the crucial stuff? What's the solution? Let's stop looking at the symptoms and start looking at the cause so we can diagnose this PROPERLY and treat it PROPERLY. Let's trace the Symptoms back to the main cause..
ReplyDeleteSymptom #5: no jobs, poor economy, deep recession ..
Symptom #4: Corporations have resorted to foreign labour to keep prices low..
Sympton #3: Inflation..
Symptom #2: Taxation and borrowing trillions from the fed to pay for too many govt employess and agencies and illegal wars..
Symptom #1: A Corrupt Federal Reserve Corrupting world leaders, which filters to media that ingrain us with lies..
Cause: Lack of peoples involvement. The peoples inability to research and recognize the problem instead of trusting Govt to fix all their problems for them. The fact that people don't realize they have the power to overthrow corrupt government and set things right.
Shall we let symptom #6 kick in? Or should we avoid the greatest depression of all time and DO something about it? We need swifter, stronger actions. Education is great but we must act while we still can. Even if it calls for hypocracy to avoid losing my civil liberties and freedoms and be held back and controlled and enslaved by govt. Our children depend on us to make the future right for them.

ReplyDeleteThank both of you for your comments. For Anonymous #2, I hope I get that many clicks as well.
ReplyDeleteFor Anonymous 1:
You make some great points. However, Unions and high taxation on companies led to them leaving our country and seeking lower wage 3rd world help.
Abolish the Corporate tax with the Fair Tax, and get rid of Unions. These items will make the Companies compete with China and Mexico, and allow costs to go down on the prodcuts. Remember, GM was paying their workers $40-80 dollars per hour by Union Contract. Toyota with no Unions, payed their people $17-30 dollars per hour. On top of designing a better car, they kept the prices cheap, and more people bought them.
Yet, the past is the past.
GM is now Government owned. Obama to appease the Enviromentalists will begin using GM to produce "Green" cars that no one will buy, and even more tax money will be wasted.
