How does this surprise anyone. This is a Public "Government" School.
People seem so surprised when they see stories like this. It happens all the time. There are few good teachers out there, and the few good ones we do have are restricted from doing their job because the Union will come down on them like a load of bricks.
Did you ever watch John Stossels report "Stupid in America" on 20/20 a few years ago?
Or how about the report on Tim Latham, a Kansas Public School Teacher who's Conservative views led to him being fired.
Here in Georgia, in Clayton County, the schools and teachers were so bad, they lost their accreditation last year. Schools in Spaulding County went through a controversy several years back where 80% of graduates qualified for college funding by averaging a "B" grade through-out the year, and once tested in college, got grade averages of "D". The teachers to help get a pay raise fudged grades and passed kids that should have gone to summer school.
